Fall 2026 Groups

Playful, small-group classes at The Baby Café in Austin — where early communication and oral-motor skills grow through songs, books, and hands-on fun. Come sing, laugh, and play alongside your little one, with simple strategies to carry home.

Wednesdays · Sept 2 – Oct 7 The Baby Café Austin

Language Beginnings

Caregiver & Child · 6–24 months

Language Beginnings is a playful, caregiver-and-child group designed to support your child’s early communication, literacy, and play skills. Through songs, books, movement, and hands-on activities, children will practice important early skills such as using gestures, making sounds, understanding words, and engaging in purposeful play.

Caregivers will learn simple, practical strategies they can use during everyday routines to encourage communication and connection at home. Come ready to sing, laugh, play, and discover new ways to support your child’s development, without pressure or expectations.

*Children must be 6 months old by September 2nd, 2026 (birthdate on or before March 2, 2026).

Myo Beginnings

Play-Based · Ages 3–5

Myo Beginnings is a play-based group designed to introduce foundational skills that support nasal breathing, tongue posture, chewing, and swallowing. Through games, songs, and exercises, children will explore what their lips, tongue, cheeks, jaw, and teeth can do.

The goal is not mastery or perfection. Instead, children will build oral awareness through fun, age-appropriate experiences. The group incorporates activities from the Tiny Tongue Tips curriculum by Simon Says Speech.

*Children must be 3 by September 2nd, 2026 (birthdate on or before September 2, 2023).
