LET'S CONNECTMeet Rosie
Hi there! I am so glad you are here.
My name is Rosie McLaughlin, and I am an ASHA-certified Speech Language Pathologist licensed to practice in Texas and Illinois.
Since earning my Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Midwestern University, I have worked across hospital, school, and private practice settings with clients ranging from infancy through adulthood.
These experiences have shaped the way I care for clients and families. When I work with a child, I am always thinking about their future self and the foundation we are building for long-term success. In my practice, I pride myself on addressing the underlying why, identifying root causes, building confidence, and creating meaningful progress that carries into daily life.

An evaluation gives you a clear picture of where your child is and what support, if any, makes sense. Second opinion evaluations are available, and if your child has had an evaluation within the last 6 months we can use those results to get started with treatment right away.
Includes:- Speech and Language Evaluations
- Orofacial Myofunctional Evaluations
Sometimes you don't need therapy sessions. You just need an expert in your corner. Parent consultations are 1:1 calls with Rosie designed to give you clear, practical answers and real strategies you can use right away. No evaluation or treatment required. Available as a one-time session or ongoing as needed.
Consultations available for:- Speech and language milestones — find out where your child stands, what the answers actually mean for their development now and down the road, and what to do next
- Home and classroom strategies — practical support for your child's communication, following directions, organization, and social language that fits into real daily life
- IEP, school evaluations, and accommodations — get support from someone who has worked in schools, sat in those meetings, and knows how they actually work
Is your child a mouth breather, waking often at night, needing expansion or braces, or preparing for a tongue or lip tie procedure? Whether a dentist or doctor has mentioned a tongue thrust, reverse swallow, or orofacial myofunctional disorder (OMD), myofunctional therapy retrains the muscles of the tongue, lips, and jaw to support better breathing, eating, sleep, and overall health and development.
Ready to say goodbye to thumb sucking for good? This gentle, structured 30-day program helps children break oral habits using positive reinforcement while building confidence along the way.
Are you struggling to understand your child's speech? Has your child been in therapy and still not making progress on certain sounds? Rosie Speech Therapy works with children and teens on the specific speech sound errors that have been hardest to shift.
Services include:- Articulation — difficulty with specific sounds or words, lisp, or a stubborn R sound
- Phonology — patterns like leaving sounds off the beginnings or ends of words, or consistently substituting one sound for another
Language shapes how children understand the world around them, connect with others, and keep up at school. Rosie Speech Therapy works with children and adolescents across every stage of language development.
Services available for:- Late talkers and early language development (12 months+) — for children who are not yet talking, have a limited vocabulary, or whose parents want real strategies for building communication and connection through play and everyday routines
- Language comprehension and expression (school age–adolescence) — for children and teens who have difficulty following directions, understanding stories, finding words, explaining their thoughts, or keeping up with reading and writing demands at school
- Social language and communication (school age–adolescence) — for children and teens who struggle with reading social cues, holding conversations, understanding perspective, or connecting with peers in meaningful ways
